Acome is a leading producer of electrical cables and optical fibers. The company, considered mainly as a component manufacturer, strives to extend its business and become a one-stop shop for advanced turnkey data cabling solutions for buildings, offices, hospitals and military sites. Acome thus intends to leverage its expertise in IT infrastructures combining traditional copper networks with high-performance optical fiber connections. Acome consulted bb&b to develop the value proposition for its new Hemera brand which bundles Acome’s offering in the area of all-inclusive data cabling solutions.
We started by performing a detailed analysis of the competi-tive environment. In a subse-quent workshop with the inter-national sales and marketing team, we then elaborated the brand vision, mission and es-sence and the brand’s onliness statement. Based on the com-petitive analysis, a SWOT and further insights gained through-out the workshop we developed a full technical and commercial argumentation. The argumenta-tion was then fed into a sales documentation.
The role of bb&b was centered on providing consultancy for technology marketing, including conception of some first sales collaterals. While the initial focus of the project was on office build-ings, the offering later encom-pass other site typologies, in-cluding hospitals, smart cities, military and government, hotels and resorts etc.
The project permitted Acome to successfully launch its offering in 2019.
